Who is AeroLock ? AeroLock™ is a brand created with a mission to offer reliable and affordable chest seals for the battlefield to save lives. It's the newest member of the product line from YEYETAC™. AeroLock™ Chest Seal is ultra-thin, lightweight (17g only, 1/3 weight of regular chest seal), incredibly durable. Its stability under stress, combined with increased stickiness when exposed to blood and sweat. Story of AeroLock™ Chest Seal The initial version of YEYETAC™ Chest Seal was used on frontline and tested by frontline instructors, but it was not performing as expected, especially when it came to adhesion in cold environments. All the chest seals made in China are facing same problem. After receiving this valuable feedback, YEYETAC™ stopped selling the hydrogel material chest seals, and they were trying to figure out how to improve the material. After months tested, the raw material and machine tech couldn't allow them to solve adhesion problems in low temperature, and they didn't want to take shortcuts like switching to industrial glue which doesn't meet medical grade standards. They changed the raw material and design, this team worked hard to make the chest seal even lighter and sticker. With the improvements of all chest seals, the owner travelled to meet the frontline instructors for testing, the first version was fine, but the adhesion still could be improved, they updated the material one more time and retested by military doctors. AeroLock™ Chest Seal Test Report - Extreme Temperature Resistance Objective: To evaluate the performance of AeroLock adhesive under extreme cold conditions of -10 degrees/-20 degrees/-40 degrees Celsius. Methodology: The AeroLock™ Chest Seal was subjected to a controlled environment at -10 degrees/-20 degrees/-40 degrees Celsius for a duration of 48 hours. Following exposure, the product was inspected for any physical damage, changes in adhesion quality, and overall stability. Results: Physical Integrity: No visible damage or alterations in the physical structure of the AeroLock™ Chest Seal were observed post-temperature exposure. Adhesion Quality: The adhesive quality was assessed through a standard peel test. Results indicated that the AeroLock™ maintained its sticky nature, with no significant reduction in adhesion strength. Chest Seal Performance: Chest stickers utilizing the AeroLock adhesive remained firmly attached and were not warped, indicating a strong hold and resistance to temperature-induced deformation. Stability: Throughout the testing period, the product showed no signs of brittleness, cracking, or any other forms of degradation, indicating good stability. Conclusion: The AeroLock™ Chest Seal demonstrates excellent resistance to extreme cold temperatures, maintaining its integrity, adhesion quality, and stability with no adverse effects. The additional observation of chest stickers still sticking firmly and not warping further supports its suitability for demanding applications in cold environments. Based on these results, AeroLock™ is recommended for applications requiring robust performance in cold conditions.
